Salesforce CRM Spring '09 Bursts Onto Scene

Ah, spring. It coincides with so many nice things, including blossoming flowers, tweeting birdies, and new software. And in this last category, Salesforce CRM Spring '09 may be one of the things most worth a look.
Anyone wanting to practice some "let me count the ways I love thee" poetry should turn elsewhere for a subject. Salesforce claims its fresh offering has an additional 50+ features compared to the previous version. An interesting one is Content Assembly, which promises to let users search their coworkers' presentations for slides and then import any they like. No point in having 10 people waste 30 minutes to each to create the same graph, eh?
Then there's Content Delivery, which will eliminate the always-embarrassing situation of forgetting to attach a document to an email. Content Delivery instead makes presentations available online, and then people who are told about them can either view or download the things as they please.
One more trick is Content Tracking - this will allow the presentations' creators to see who's looking at them and how much time they're spending doing so.
Nifty stuff, all in all, and it shouldn't break the bank. Marc Benioff, Salesforce.com's chairman and CEO, said in a statement, "Salesforce.com is helping companies grow their business without growing costs by delivering a cloud computing solution for customer service and sales with Salesforce CRM Spring '09."
